Prayer and Worship Through Art An art table is located in the main prayer room for the duration of the two days of prayer. This provides a way for you to pray and worship through creative visual art, if you would like. If you have never prayed in this way we encourage you to give it a try! God used adults and children to convey powerful expressions of his heart through art at past prayer events.
Offering Offerings are gladly received to help cover expenses. At the Meeting there will be an opportunity to make a donation with cash or check.
Unity Firmly Driven brings together many expressions of the Body of Christ. Participants come from a variety of life and ministry environments from the USA and abroad. This is a beautiful gathering that embraces diversity.
In this setting, it is very important that we place a high priority on unity. Powers of darkness will actively seek to disrupt our unity together, knowing the tremendous power released when the Body of Christ is united in prayer. Let’s be on our guard, contending in prayer and action for our unity together, watching our words, bearing patiently with things that don’t go smoothly, honoring one another above ourselves, being quick to love and slow to judge, in all things glorifying the living Jesus through our unity together, and opening every channel for the Holy Spirit to flow unhindered in our midst.
Wisdom in Conversations Some people coming to Firmly Driven may live and work in different areas of the world. They may need to be cautious about speaking in specific terms about their lives and work. Please respect their need for privacy.
Spiritual Warfare Spiritual warfare is a reality that comes up often in Scripture, and many intercessors experience very challenging forms of warfare. Different leaders in the Body of Christ have different views of how to conduct spiritual warfare. During Firmly Driven, we will focus on the following:
Keeping the prayer God-centered !
Focusing our awe, our words, and our thoughts on the Father, Son, and Spirit!
Exercising our authority as believers by declaring and proclaiming what God will do, and asking him to defeat powers of darkness
We do believe there are times, under the specific guidance of the Holy Spirit, for direct confrontations with powers of darkness. However, during our time at Firmly Driven please do not speak direct words of confrontation or declaration to demons or powers of darkness. This is in the understanding that some of us may have vulnerabilities in our lives, due to past or present circumstances, that would open us up to spiritual attack during direct confrontation with powers of darkness. Jesus is VERY powerful! Ask him to rise up and deal with anything that stands in opposition to him!
